Has anyone seen the photos Rineke Dijkstra took of women who had just given birth, holding their babies? They look 'shell-shocked'. They are amazing.

Sorry for the delay, Shylepite, I can't get it to work but if you search 'Rineke Dijkstra mothers' it comes up on the Tate, Guggenheim websites etc.

There are only three women, standing holding newborns. It was amazing of them to agree to it I think but the pictures are raw and brilliant. I'll try to sort a link later if anyone's interested.

There are not many pictures of women like this, are there? There're a lot of paintings of naked women but I can't think of many like this.
