Tmi... lumps inside vagina after giving birth

Im quite worried as since having my 2nd baby 7 wks ago my vagina feels very different. I seem to have fairly large lumps/bumps of soft tissue just inside and sort of pockets of skin. Sorry its quite hard to describe and Im quite worried about it. I have my postnatal check tomorrow so would like an idea of what it could be and what to say to the doc. Thank you

Could it be a prolaspe?

Oh gosh I hadn't considered that and i really hope not! Also really not looking forward to the conversation with the doc about it either :(

Did you have any stitches? If you had an episiotomy or if you tore and needed sewing back up then that could be what you're feeling.
Just ask at check up to be sure but it's probably nothing to worry about

Thanks for the responses. At least I will be more prepared for what the doc will say now! It always amazes me how something designed to give birth can get so damaged in the process, though I didnt tear so I guess its not all bad lol.

Cookie, sounds similar to my situation. Second child (both big babies, and I'm tiny - thanks to very tall husband). Second time was a brilliant birth, no stitches needed, very small graze/tear. But, I discovered a lump, which I believe is an anterior prolapse. I was horrified at first, but have been doing a lot kegels. They are helping, and the 'lump' sometimes isn't there. Try not to push when you need to poo (so stay hydrated and go when you feel the urge). Similarly don't push when you pee, and generally don't push. Rest when you can. Do your kegels. I have heard that they can improve with time, and that muscle tone down there can be really damaged at first, but certainly does improve. (Depends on the severity of things). I'm yet to have my 6/8 week check-up... Good luck. A grim discovery to make, but it is very early days! X

They may just be skin tags. These can be removed with a local.
I was told by an NHS consultant that I'd had a prolapse. He was horrid to me & because I cried when he told me this, suggested that I had a relationship problem when nothing could have been further from the truth. I'd waiting 9 months to see him, what a waste of time.
I got a referral to a LOVELY private consultant who diagnosed skin tags & got rid of them for £1200 all in. Money well spent imo.

Superstrength, could I ask how the surgery like? Was it painful?

Some lumps and bumps and scratches and grazes after vaginal birth are normal (so confirmed woman's health physio when I asked her if my lumps and bumps were noramal-mine eventually went back to smooth; I think eventually resuming sex helped as well).
Someone needs to have a look to rule out other things but hopefully it's just that
