I am 41 weeks today with PFB and had my first contraction on Sunday night. Contractions on and off ever since to varying strengths, lengths and at varying intervals anywhere between 5-50 minutes generally. I also lost my mucous plug yesterday.
At MW appointment this morning she performed a membrane sweep and said my cervix is fully effaced, 1-2cm dilated but still a bit posterior. She tried to pull it forward. No change to contractions so far since the sweep.
I have been booked in for induction next Wednesday at 42 weeks but feel suicidal at the thought of this going on for another bloody week!
What was your experience of the length of the latent phase and did a sweep make any difference if you had one?
