How did you feel before going into labour ?

So approaching 38 weeks and I notice I have good days where I have barely any discomforts and other times no sleep, cramps, aches, hard to move around and feel pretty rubbish. Those bad days I just hope I'm not about to go into labour as I'm so sleep deprived and fed up. I keep wishing there was a natural calm before the storm type of thing before early labour. How did you all feel leading up to labour?

I felt the best I ever had. Went out for a meal with friends, to the pub after, had a bit of a dance then home and asleep for 11, certain dc would be at least another week away. Woke up at 3am with cxns every three minsand dd was born that day.

I felt sleepy but in a nice, calm way. My body just felt different, not bad or achey. Unexpected amount of energy, out and about, organising stuff. So it was surprisingly a 'calm before the storm' - the aforementioned took place on Sun/Mon, contractions started Tues, DC born Wed morning.

Prior to that I'd had plenty of rubbish days where I felt tired and in pain and plain fed up so it certainly wasn't the norm for me to feel so much calm!
