hello - sorry for the question but I may as well start getting used to loosing my dignity . . . . .

First DC was an EMCS and after discussion have gone for an ELCS for the 2nd.

Being au naturel down below I was shaved by the nursing staff for the EMCS, as it is planned this time round should I have done it myself (if I can actually reach there with a razor etc!)?

thanks for any opinions

They will do it for you if you haven't (since reaching/seeing that area is tricky!) but I got a wax about a week before my ELCS.

The thing with a wax is that if you time it right then regrowth isn't a problem until the worst is over/dressings are off, whereas with shaving it will come back in a few days and could irritate, just keep an eye out for ingrowing hairs :)

My letter said not to... I forgot and did anyway then the mw shaved me again.

I had a wax a few days before. It hurt more than the elcs tbh but I am glad I took control of that myself. No one came near me with a razor on the day!

I think I'm having an elcs on Friday... First baby, so sorry if this is a stupid question... Just how much do you have to take off?! I've no idea Blush

thanks everybody!

Janey1234 my scar is just at the base of my current bump so just enough (several cm down) so that the plaster afterwards wasn´t stuck on hair

I had an elcs and had a Brazilian wax a week before hand.

Saves you any bother!
