labour?!

I always thought I'd know when I was in labour but I'm just not sure..I'm getting little period type pains and have a horrible dull lower back ache that gets worse when I move about...could this be the start of something?! I'm 37 weeks today & have been feeling quite achy and full of the cold this week :( thanks in advance:)

Both my labours started off with period like pains and backache so it's possible.

My labour was like this. I went into labour properly on the night but during the day I just did not feel myself, a bit like I was coming down with cold or something. I had the dull period feelings too! Fingers crossed for you... Good luck!

It could also just be your body getting ready. I've had what you describe on and off everyday for weeks. Especially evening time and sadly I'm waiting. 39+2 and trying to be patient.

I am also 39+2 and feel a bit like this. I don't think it's labour, although I wish it was!
