I live in Twickenham and am booked into West Middlesex to have first baby in Sept. Im having second thoughts about going there so thinking of switching to Kingston. Anyone have any recent experiences of either? Thanks

I don't think there is much between the care at either. I had dd at Kingston and will be having dc2 there in Aug. Friends had their dc's at West mid and Kingston and we all reported back with good and bad experiences. They are both busy units....

I had both of my babies (2009 and 2011) in Kingston Hospital's Malden Suite, with very good experiences both times. Good luck!

Both my babies were born at Kingston, my most recent 6 weeks ago. Water birth in Malden Suite. Absolutely brilliant experience - just amazing. Highly recommended. PM me if you like. X

I didn't deliver there but was admitted to west mid after my first baby with an infection after my c-section as it was closer to my house than the hospital I chose to deliver in (Queen Charlotte's) I was very ill and I found them caring, involved and efficient on the ward in stark contrast to the postnatal ward at QC. I was in a private room which was a bit tired looking but they didn't charge me for it. They also really supported me to breastfeed, bringing a pump to me and offering plenty of advice.
