I had a hot curry last night, I've been through a packet of raspberry leaf tea, I've just eaten half a fresh pineapple and I'm keeping active.
My hind waters broke 3 weeks ago and I've been leaking a little ever since (consultant not concerned) but this puts me off trying sex just in case of infection. I have been getting period pains and what I think are braxton hicks on and off for the last couple of weeks. Still nothing!
To top it all the emails and texts don't stop coming from friends asking if we've had it yet!
HELP!!!!! Anyone got any tips????

Good luck for tomorrow.

Thanks Mears. I'm now 40+11 and booked in to be induced Friday evening. Am kind of resigned to it so am hoping that if I relax things might start to happen naturally.

Do inductions tend to be more straightforward the more overdue you are? (she says with her fingers crossed...!)

Good luck, Loulou. I remember being two weeks overdue, and it was no fun. So you have my sympathies.

Good luck then. I had 4 tablespoons of castor oil with concentrated robinsons and ice cream. worked after 1hr. but i had the runs too.

The big toe is not the uterus but the pituitary gland which is where oxytocyn and endorphins are released. So yes you can rub it.

Raspberry leaf tea is to tone the uterus so not sure why people keep saying it will induce them! It can irritate the uterus though!

Castoir oil is a dangerous trick if you don't know the state of your cervix in the 1st place !

There are more incidence of babies passing meconium in the uterus when women take castor oil.

Are you still here? Hope things happen naturally for you. But, it looks like time is running out. I just want to add that if you do have a section, it isn't the end of the world. I might suggest you take some arnica to the hospital for a quick delivery just in case. I think arnica is also good for vaginal deliveries, but I could be wrong.

Anyway, good luck. Your baby is almost here... Grin
