I finished bleeding after birth at 3 weeks postpartum and now at 7 weeks postpartum i have my first period (the joys) just wondering if i can wear tampons now or is it still too soon? I hate sanitary towels they give me a rash! :(

I wore tampons with my period, I had my first proper period when baby was 8wks old (very heavy and nurse suggested I wore "super" sized tampons) so im guessing it will be fine for u too. As long as your comfortable you should be ok

You could try some of the more 'natural' pads that have more cotton/less plastic - Waitrose and various other supermarkets and chemists sell them, I'm not talking about anything vastly alternative here.

There are times when they are much more comfy than the major brands.

I think you can in terms of hygiene etc but it might not be very comfortable.
