Are these braxton hicks?

33 weeks today with my first baby.

I get a sort of achey wave over my whole bump, not particularly painful, feels a bit like mild period pains or constipation? They happen a few times a day, usually when I'm on my ball. Sometimes accompanied by an ache in my lower back.

Is this braxton hicks?

Sounds like it, does your bump go all hard too? That's how I identified mine which started at about 22 wks or so. Am 34 wks now and still getting them!

Mine feel like that too

They lie when they say bh are painless!

hoppus, I never really had any BH in either of my pregnancies, but apparently the best way to tell BH and proper contractions apart is by changing what you do (i.e. if you were resting, get up and active; if you were active, lie down and rest), or having a bath/shower. If they get weaker, further apart or stop altogether, it's BH. If they don't really change, it's labour. At 33 weeks one would assume it's probably BH!

Best of luck!

Yes the bump goes hard, I wouldn't call them painful really but definitely uncomfortable and achey/crampy.

I doubted they'd be contractions because they're not very often, but very exciting that something is happening!
