Episiotomy-BOGOF?

I'm due with DC3 in 9 days (aaaahhhh how did that come round do quickly?!) and have had to have episiotomies with both DC as they were delivered by ventouse. Just interested to know that of you've had an episiotomy for a birth do you need the same with subsequent births even if ventouse is not needed?

I suppose it's BOG2F!

I had an episiotomy first time around and a scratch that needed one stitch the second time. Babies head was even more mahoosive the second time around.

Same as Pickle ^. Episiotomy (which turned out to be pointless, as I split in every conceivable direction anyway) and full on forceps first time, teeny split second time (even though my fanjo was back to its pre-first-labour-loveliness!). Used perineal gel first time, didn't second time so that appeared to do bugger all. Good luck! Smile
