How much mucous plug?!

Just that really? Lost a couple of clear, very well-formed chunks 10 days ago and have over the last couple of days lost some far more slimey mucous. This morning it was a kind of yellow-ish brown colour.

hard to tell how much you're gonna have, but losing it in bits isn't unusual. Some people lose all in one go, some over days or even weeks. Unfortunately, there's no good indication of how soon you'll go into labour once you've lost the plug either!

First time round, my plug was out over 3 days, and I gave birth another 2 days later. I was having period-like pains from a few hours before the first bit of mucous came out though, and by day 3 those had progressed to weak contractions. Things got serious on day 4.

I have heard of a lady though whose plug came out but she had no other signs of impending labour for 2 weeks.

Mine was over a week, discharge like mucus and then a couple of large lumps that did resemble 'plugs' on the day my contractions started.
