When can I pick toddler up after CS?

I had an elcs two weeks ago and have recovered really well, and feel fine now. As well as baby dd I have DS who is 2.5 and fairly big (75th centile for height and weight). DH works a lot of evenings so currently my mum is coming round to do bathtime as I haven't been lifting DS. I feel now that I could though - is it too soon even though I feel fine, or can I start lifting him in/out of the bath now?

I had a similar age gap to you and I got a step to help DS get in and out of the bath (and other things!), but I think you're fine to do little pick-ups as you need. I seem to recall that after 2 weeks I felt about 70% recovered, but you need to still take it a bit easy.
