Fenton's procedure / refashioning of perineal scar and subsequent birth?

Hi,

Am booked in for the above op in 10 days, due to excess of scar tissue and extremely painful area after 2nd degree stitches didn't heal well.

I have read that some women are told they need to have a CS following this. The consultant didn't mention anything about it when I saw her.

I wondered if anyone had had this procedure and then had gone on to have a natural birth?

Thanks!

I had a full restitch after a 3a tear 3 years ago and was told I would have a cs next time due to the impact of a third degree. Two friends with 2nd degrees and restitches had subsequent vaginal births

Thanks, that's helpful to know.
It's not like I have any choice really as can't carry on as I am at the moment - just want all the facts before surgery.
