40 + 10 and no movement

I didnt have much movement from baby yesterday (a few tiny ones but not what I am used to) and not really anything this morning. I rang up the Assesment Unit at the hospital and I'm going in to be checked at 1130... does anyone know if its likely if they will induce me or anything, should I take my bags etc in with me? Is it worth asking if they will induce me, anyone had anything similar? I'm so scared there is something wrong I just want my baby safe and in my arms!

Yes, take your bags, and if you want to be induced, then tell them. Really hope all is ok with your baby, sometimes movements do slow down towards the end so will most prob be fine.

Personally I would be going to the hospital right away (I'm a natural born worrier) take your bags and everything else in case they admit you.

can you ring the assessment centre back and ask them about your bags? Or just take them but leave them in the car, just in case.

Is someone going with you? Hope everything is OK and that you have your baby soon.

Yes take bags etc and if you are concerned you can request induction, i did with my dd as i was worried re movement. With my others i went to term plus 14 and longer but with dd i just wasnt confident.

Anyway they were happy to.induce me.

Good luck you have done the right thing getting checked out. Hope it all goes well.

Tatty, please be careful about the advice you give pregnant ladies. . Reduced movement isn't normal, so saying it happens when people are over due is misleading and dangerous advice. All episodes of reduced movement should be checked out.

Of course Roses... I didn't say it was normal. Was trying to reassure the OP who obviously and quite understandably was v worried. Hope all ok with you OP.

Thank you all for your support midwife had me on the monitor for a long time and was happy with baby's heartbeat and movement ... Going back in tomorrow morning for another check for peace of mind and then ill be going in properly on Thursday night for them to start induction process. It was funny because midwife showed me the trace bit of paper and there were lots of black dots on it and when DH asked what they were she said movements ! So all this going on and I can't feel it which she thought may be due to my placenta being at front. So glad I went in, the midwife I saw was brilliant and made sure we were completely happy before we left

iheart my placenta was at the front with dd and it does make it harder to feel the movements.

Glad all is well and they are keeping an eye on you, don't hesitate to go back if you are concerned.
