If first baby born at 42 was what are the chances of going into early with 2nd?

Just that really! I had awful time with DC1 birth in hospital for days before finally having EMCS. Now booked for ELCS with DC2 at 39 wks exactly. The consultant said if I did they would say to carry on naturally .... But what are the chances? Do most people that go a full 2 weeks over first time go similar 2nd time? Thanks!

I was two weeks over the first time and five days over the second.

dd1 40+13
dd2 40+10
dd3 40+3
ds 40+11

so dd3 felt like a week early even though she was late

I think the chances of you being more than 3 weeks earlier this time (so before 39 weeks after being 42 weeks before) must be very slim assuming there are no other complications. Good luck :)

I'd like to know this; DS was born at 40+15 so I'm wokring till due date this time, I was convinced this one will be significantly late too. But yesterday I met someone whose first was 40+15 nad second was 39 weeks so now I'm worried!

Dd was 2 weeks over, next three all exactly on due date.

Dc1 40+11

Dc2 40+3

Both EMCS as I couldn't get last 4cm.

I don't know the stats but it happened to me!

Two full weeks over with the first.
A full week under with the second.

No apparent reason!

Dc1 was born at 42 weeks (induced at 40+12 though), dc2 was born at 40+11, I went into labour naturally on the same day.

DC2 a day early!
