WWYD? SPD...

Hi, I'm currently 39+3 with DC2, DC1 was delivered via emcs due to breech presentation. Because of previous CS & not wanting induced, I made a loose plan with Doctor at 36 weeks that I would go for trial VBAC before 41 weeks then ELCS after.

I am currently in agony with SPD and over last couple of days it has been getting worse - I can't get off sofa without sliding to floor first, I'm not sleeping, tearful all the time etc etc...

My meeting with Doc is on Monday but I don't think I can cope much longer like this tbh. I am considering calling Hosp tomorrow to see if I can speak to the doc to see if I can move ELCS forward, WWYD? Should I just get a grip and wait till appointment on Monday?

Sorry for very trivial post!

It's not a trivial post. SPD kicked in at 26 weeks for me this time, now 33w and I feel your pain. It's horrific and indescribable to anyone who hasn't experienced it.

In your shoes I think I'd phone the consultants secretary tomorrow and ask if there's any chance of speaking to the consultant before Monday as you're desperate and want an elcs ASAP.

Hope your spd goes the moment your baby arrives.

Thanks HP it is horrendous isn't it? I never had it with DC1. Think I will call tomorrow, at least I'll know I've tried something.

I hope your next 7 weeks pass quickly!

Thanks Miaow - ouch sounds like you've got it bad Sad thankfully mines just kicked in around 30wks. Can be manageable one minute then legs go from underneath me Sad

How rude of your DH not wanting to fully empathise with you! Grin
