C section scar at 4 months

Not sure if this is the right place for this question. I had a section 4 months ago and the incision site still looks red and purple all along the incision line. No pain, swelling, fever or other signs of infection, just an angry looking line. Normal or cause for concern? Thanks x

Based on my own scar this sounds really normal. My line is still red and angry looking 18 months later - I had assumed it will fade to a silver grey line in time.

Completely normal. I had my CS just over two years ago, and it has recently lost the last hint of pink. It still goes pink if I get hot or it gets rubbed on trousers though.

Although it is white, the line is still quite visible. But the last half inch on each end has faded to almost nothing. So I am hopeful that it'll keep improving for a good while yet unless I have another one, in which case I'll be back to square one!

Thanks for the speedy replies. I have a friend who's scar was almost gone by 6 months and is now barely visible a year later. I suppose some people are just incredibly fast healers! Glad to hear others like mine :)

I had my c section 4 months ago too. Your scar sounds identical to mine.
