Just wondering about this preasure i keep getting and shooting pains as if the baby is trying to com out. Sorry for tmi but when i need to go for a pee i get this awful urge of preassure down there that i need to keep going (for poo or pee) but then i feel really wet all the tinme. As if i have a week bladder. I can sometimes feel slight discharge come away too Blush Wondering if this all normal?

is this recent? just that the pressure thing sound s a bit...full term!!
the wetness i had a lot, just think it's all the hormones raging around.
whenare you next seeing your midwife?

alexsmum · 27/04/2006 11:01

could just be that baby has dropped and is lying very low.

Dunnyjo · 27/04/2006 11:03

Its been since yesterday, saw midw yest a.m did not think too much of it at that point but i am getting fed up with constant trips to the loo, and that preassure! by god its awful not painfull but then when i get those shooting pains it is sore. I really dont remember any of this with ds

if you are at all worried please check it out with your midwife. Sometimes waters can break as a trickle and not a flood so it can be hard to tell. Don't be shy. It's very important to ask.

alexsmum · 27/04/2006 11:05

i'd give the delivery suite a ring.get a community midwife to come and check things out.if the wetness only just started too could be your hindwaters going.

SoupDragon · 27/04/2006 11:07

I think I'd give my midwife a call if I were you. Probably is just the baby having dropped and maybe they've got a good grip of your bladder too :)

Dunnyjo · 27/04/2006 11:07

Think i will call her and tell her, last time i was checked i was told the baby was engaged and i was soft? best to get checked over incase i think

And when you say "discharge" what is it like? It's not the jelly like show is it?

Dunnyjo · 27/04/2006 11:09

Its white discharge about tea spoon size and wehn i (ahem) wipe myself its mucisy (ecxuse bad spelling!)
With ds i was already in estab labour and it was really bloody and loads of it though

could be actionstations dunnyjo!!!!!!

alexsmum · 27/04/2006 11:11

go on , phone her and then tell us what she saidGrin
can you tell i've not got much on today?

SoupDragon · 27/04/2006 11:12

When I was in labour with DD earlier this year it wasn't bloody at first. Different to both DSs.

Mercy · 27/04/2006 11:21

Dunnyjo, I had something similar with both of mine after my waters broke - not the pains - but a mucousy discharge with no blood. That came a bit later.

Good luck!

alexsmum · 27/04/2006 11:21

well?

RedZuleika · 27/04/2006 11:28

Cervix starting to thin out and efface...?

RedZuleika · 27/04/2006 11:29

That was a suggestion as to what's going on, btw - rather than a request that you get down there and check...

Dunnyjo · 27/04/2006 11:29

Spoke to mw on the phone, she told me to wear a pad and keep an eye on it for a few hrs and see how it goes. If i have any pains i have to go to the hospital. She said it could be the baby going in and out of the pelvis as this is not my first.
I will keep an eye on it and i have already worned dh. Was supposed to be going to my sis for lunch do you think its worth me driving over? or stay put?
oh god do you think this is it starting? I dont want it to!

alexsmum · 27/04/2006 11:36

go for lunch-it'll take your mind off things.if you stay home you'll spend the day with your head in your knickers!
sounds like it could be starting! is your bag packed?

donnie · 27/04/2006 11:39

sounds to me like it could be action stations! good luckxx

Dunnyjo · 27/04/2006 11:40

lol thats true! Yeah my bag is packed and ready, i will go for lunch i think. I just keep feeling things coming away though (sorry!) just dont like the idea of being in the car alone with ds and contractions strating. I am so petrified about going into labour Sad
