I'm 41+4 and had my second Propess put in yesterday after the first one gave me some contractions but didn't develop and did nothing to ripen my cervix. Since the second one I've had no contractions at all but a lot of backache, so I'm guessing cervix is still not favourable and therefore breaking waters wouldn't be an option.

Just wondering if anyone else has experience of two Propess failing and what happened next for you? Any advice / experience welcome.

TIA

Hi Tugstonia

I had two Propess that failed, after 4 days in hosital they finally broke my waters and gave me drugs to bring on labour. I had gestational diabeties therefore I was classed as a medical case so I am not sure if that made a difference to how they treat me or not. I got so fed up of waiting for things to happen and got quite distressed at one point but I now have a healthy 2 yo and she was sooo worth it. Good luck!
