I had my previous child in Bristol St Micheals, care during birth fab aftercare not so. Now due second baby and living in Chepstow, what are views on Royal Gwent and Cardiff hospital ???? Hubby is welsh so would be nice to have next one born in Wales but looking at some reviews they are mainly bad really do not want to risk it with my baby, should I stick to Bristol ?????!

Hi pippa I live very close to the gwent and am expecting dc3. I went to caerphilly birth centre for both dd's and am booked to go to ystrad mynach birth centre this time (prob about an hour from you?). Lots of friends have had their babies at the royal gwent and I've heard good and bad things. Why not ask for a tour? I'm sure they allow you to have a look around and you can change your mind upto pretty near your due date I think? Good luck x

I live very close to Chepstow (infac lived in Chepstow when I had my children) I chose to go to Neville hall in Abergavenny, have had 3 children there now and apart from the fact I couldn't have a water birth any of the 3 times due to various medical factors I had great births there,
Let me know if you want any more info

Hello, I am due in April and going to be giving birth in the Royal Gwent Hospital Newport. If more people could share their experiences that would be great for me too :)
