For feck sake I am so fed up. 3days ago I had a night of on/off pains but they didn't get any worse so that was grand, yday I was woken at 5am with proper contractions rang the hospital they said come straight in as I'm a vbac, I waited it out at home, cleaned like a mag woman, had loose stools, vomited, contractions where 8 muns apart lasting 30/40 sec then by time I eventually went to hospital at 3pm they were 6mins apart b gettin worse, had bloody show all day was examined and told 2cm dilated. They admitted me and then it all stopped at 10pm.

Can't believe Im no longer in Labour?! What the hell! I am gutted, as said before I'm vbac & have already had a fight to have section booked for term + 13 (they wanted to section me at +7) has anyone any experience?? What is likely to happen now? I can't be induced but will they try break my waters? If so does that work? Agh!! Why does baby not want to come out? Am freaking out now starting to think
My body is just not cut out for labour. Help!!

I have heard it said that a nice long and slow latent 1st phase means a short and effective 2 nd stage....

Good luck!

No not at home, they will not be eager to let me out. Sad waiting on consultant now. Thought I would have baby by now!!! But hey, if all this stop starting means a quicker 2nd stage il go with that Wink

I have no idea but will be in the same position in a few weeks, although I think the cut of point for me will be 39 weeks.

Have they done sweeps? I've just been told I can't go on a drip, I did have pesseries with ds4 but that was early at 20 weeks so not sure if they would do the same at term.

I can empathise! 40 + 7 today and aiming for VBAC but booked for ELCS 40+10. Had sweep yesterday and contractions all through the night every 15 mins. By 5am I was exhausted and climbing the walls..next I knew it was 0645 and I woke up. Contractions have fizzled out Envy.

Have had 5 sweeps!! Yes 5!!! Christ Sad they will break waters but not until the morn as there is no beds on labour ward. Am hoping things will start again naturally before then. Am convinced now this baby is a boy as surely a girl wouldn't be this late & troublesome! Thought all along it was gona be a girl. Not that I care at this stage just wud like baby please!! Best of luck to the rest of ye in similar positions Grin
