This is a bit gross but I had a clear mucousy show on Thursday night (quite a lot of it) and a watery discharge - midwife sent me to be monitored as she found protein in my urine and thought it might be a water leak. Everything was normal so sent home.
Last night had a pink gunky show all night and watery discharge as well and this morning passed some fresh blood clots so thought I'd better get checked out. At hospital they had a look and said that the bleed had stopped so ok. I asked how long they thought it would be and was told it could still be one or two weeks Shock.
What were your experiences - how long after a show/bleed did your labour start?

I had a bloody show at 9am and went into labour at 10pm that night, had dd 2hours and 17mins later. Hope it starts soon as I'm sure you're feeling like it's never going to happen. Good luck.Smile

This time, it was 16 hours Emma. I had a bloody show at 7 am, labour was established at 11pm, and Daniel was born at 3:30am!

OOOOOOO

Good luck, I'm all excited for you!

Oooooh, it won't be long!! I know it sounds crap but REST WHILE YOU CAN... and make sure you have access to snack food and drinks during labour!

Good luck xxxx :):):)

Get good sleeps as soon as you feel tired - BED.

I made that mistake, my waters went and I spent 72 hours awake!!!!!!

BED!

(I reckon it'll kick off tomorrow morning)

Just a quick update:

Contractions started at 4am and at one point were 5 mins apart. Then they slowed down but I wasn't able to sleep through them. I am now very tired and they are getting very painful but still not regular and can be up to 10 mins apart. Hospital keep telling me to stay at home but if the pain gets any worse I will go in anyway now - it's been a long day!
Hopefully I will soon be cuddling my baby Grin Grin

Thanks everyone for your advice and support!
