Numbness around the vagina after childbirth

Can anyone help.

Whilst I was pregnant, i experienced some numbness around my vagina. I expected at the time it was caused by a trapped nerve from the pressure of the baby.

My little one is now 10 weeks old, and I am still experiencing this problem. I had a natural birth, no stitches, no forceps etc.

The pain is more above the lip area, and the only way i have been able to cope with it, is to sit on a hot water bottle.

Could it still be a trapped nerve? Has anyone else had anything similar?
