I've been hearing mixed reports about an NSPCC video, perhaps called 'I Promise', that is being shown to women and their partners prior to leaving hospital with their new baby. Does anyone have experience of this video, did you feel it was helpful or something to avoid?

Sounds like a nightmare and just more work for busy mudwives. Seriously uts akways a pita trying to get discharged from post natal wards, i cant see the midwives being very happy.

Also with some of mine i was discharged straight from the delivery suite so didnt even go.to postnatal.

Who pays for the dvd players? At my hospital there are at keast 12 beds in the bay and numerous bays so you can gave lots of mums being discharged at tge same time, if i had to sit and wait to watch a dvd as all the dvd players were busy i would be miffed!

Then you need safe storage for the dvd players as they are an easy target for theives.

Just sounds like a pita for the hospital staff tbh.
