Any Recent ELCS Experiences @ Knutsford Suite - Watford General?

Am booked in for August as private patient. Has anyone had an ELCS and used Knutsford suite recently? Any feedback would be great!

A very timely post- am thinking about going there also for an ELCS (due in early September), so will be interested in hearing feedback also ! Do you mind me asking which consultant you are booked under ?

I have been in contact with mr sheridans secretary and hope to arrange a private elcs for late July.
How was the booking process? Will I just be able to ask for an Elcs even though there is no medical need?

I had my booking appointment 2 weeks ago and was very straightforward. It was prob not a "booking" appointment in the true sense of the word but more so to try and decide which package to book (and spend money we really dont have on!! Lol!)
We decided on delivery only with antenatal and postnatal package.
Sarah the midwife is amazing. I couldnt have wished for more and she really sealed the deal for me.
I have no medical need for a ELCS and this was in no way whatsoever questioned by Mr Sheridan or Sarah. It seems its very much your own choice regarding which type of birth you would like and they support pretty much all choices.
I did not feel judged and was certainly not questioned in any way at all.
Let us know how you get on as you will be ahead of myself and nickyboo as we are not due to end of Aug\beg Sep.

You don't know how much that means to me to hear that

1. You had a lovely "booking" appointment
2. Your did not have to explain/fight for c section

I kind of knew that if you were paying private that they would probably do what you request without much question but as I say, it's SO nice to get this confirmed. You have made me feel so relaxed now :)))) The whole 'birth thing' has been a difficult subject since the day I found out I was pregnant. Hopefully I'm not too late & they will be able to fit me in!! Maybe I should have booked sooner! Yes I'm thinking of the same kind of package as you. How much did they quote? If you don't feel comfortable, please don't feel you have to answer this question. I just had a emcs at Watford & was in Knutsford suite. Was a positive experience wouldn't hesitate going back there. Also thought the midwives on the Knutsford suite were excellent.

I've now had my ELCS done at Watford by Richard Sheridan. He did a superb job and made me feel very comfortable, and I was delighted with everything from start to finish. The care on the Knutsford Suite afterwards was also excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

So happy to find this post. Looking to have a csection without a medical reason. Nice to hear positive postings. Please may I ask if anyone above could please private message me the package and cost at Watford through Mr. Sheridan please. X

Has anyone had an NHS ELCS (I need one for medical reasons, there's no way they will deny me!) and transferred to the Knutsford Suite afterwards? How does it work, as their website is a bit confusing, especially as to whether you get different postnatal care or not if your birth was NHS. Thanks!!

I am 18 weeks pregnant with twins and looking to book into Knutsford Suite for a private C-section. Very relieved to find out that we can opt for a C section. Anyone had experience of multiple births with Mr. Sheridan?

Also can anyone please PM me about the delivery only fee charged by Mr Richard Sheridan? I would be very grateful.
