How long between c sections

I had an emcs 6 weeks ago and was wondering how long to wait before TTC again. We lost our baby boy 2 hours after being born (Must stress c section went well but he was poorly) and we want to try again ASAP. Dr has advised to wait a year to heal 'emotionally' but physically should be ok after 3 months.

Just wondering what experiences others have had.

Thanks

I'm so sorry about your little boy.

To answer your question, I was told 12 months to 18 months.

My sil a doctor got pregnant 5 months after a emcs.
Both of mine were planned sections.

So sorry to hear about your little boy.
I conceived 10 months after my 1st section and 15months after my second. When I saw the consultant to discuss delivery of DC2 he said if you want more DCs,get on with it and start trying after 6 months due to my age(late 30s) so obviously had no concerns about if I was pregnant 6 months after the 2nd section.
Good luck with everything

I am so sorry for your loss.

I have a friend who lost a baby at a similar time- she found the sands websites and forums helpful (www.uk-sands.org).

In terms of the c section we TTC after 6 months and I fell pregnant straight away with no problems. I was told after DC2 to wait at least 6 months before conceiving again due to the thinness of my uterus.

I hope everything works out for you.

So sorry for your loss friend of mine got pregnant 8 months after and had successful VBAC but I think they recommend 12 months ask your doctor it may be different for different hospitals or your situation may be different
Big hugs x x

So sorry to hear of your loss.
I was pregnant 6 months after ELCS so had no.2 when no.1 was 15 months. My ELCS was not for any medical reason just my choice. Both were completely complication free and quick recovery.
Best wishes and luck for your future (()).
