I have posted before a wk or so ago but things seemed to die down until last night i had some really strong contractions that i started shaking and began to panack crying becasue it hit me just how scary it was last time and painful. (thought i would be in more control this time round) I had to have a huge clear out in between (sorry for too much info!) but i went and had a bath followed by a couple more contractions. They were about every 15 min. went to bed with period cramp pains and no more contractions. Slept well too but i can just about get up the stairs today because my hips and pubic bone is so sore. It dawned on me whilst i was falling asleep that maybe i should hae phoned the maternity ward to let them know but sleep got the better of me Blush
Do you think i should phone them i am 34wks tomorrow? Or is this just a warm up before the big day? Baisically what on earth is going on?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I called the mw and she said it could have been my bowls that set off contractions and things might settle down now i 'have had a clear out' but if i get any more then i should go straight in. I have to rest but i dont know how when i have my 2 yr old ds! will have to watch cbeebies i suppose Grin

Hi Dj. I think you should rest as much as you can. I know it's difficult with a toddler. Do you have any family or friends who could help out for a day or two?

Dunnyjo · 18/04/2006 09:50

hello MadameDeMars, I dont really have anyone becasue they are all working full time. In a time like this my mum would be here but she passed away a few weeks ago. I will just have to sit it out until dh come home

i have had a couple of instances like this in this pg - deffo bowels related Blush

agree you sound as though you could do with a rest. at least lay on the sofa while ds whatches cbeebies.

MadameDeMars · 18/04/2006 10:01

sorry to hear about your mum.

Well then you'll have to do what I did when I was pg with DD1 and DS1 was a toddler. Couch, Cbeebies!

Put your feet up and watch nonsense on the telly with the wee one and rest as much as you can.

Where are you based?

Dunnyjo · 18/04/2006 10:26

I am in Hampshire MadameDeMars
