Early show?

I'm 39 wks today with DC2, but had a show 13 days ago. Thought I was getting lucky with an early baby but perhaps no such luck. All good with MWs last Friday including LOA and 1/5 palpable but have feeling baby has shifted to ROA grrr. Anyone else had a big gap between show and actual birth? Bit nervy now (aged 41 and feeling extremely lucky to have got this far) though still v excited. DS was nearly 2 weeks overdue so show really surprised me. Should I assume I'll go OD again and try to relax?

Oh you are a few days ahead of me, I'm 38+3

I'm not sure. Mine is LOA I think (back is on my left, yes?) but ds2 was ROA at start of labour and turned to be OP just as I reached second stage. Thanks little chap

dc3 is now 2/5 palp. I had some old blood this morning but no proper show I think.

Rooney, lots of twinges and mild contractions but wondering if this could go on for 2 more weeks. Had show about 3 days before DS was born and woke up in full-on labour with him. Obviously just a different story with this one, guessing baby will turn during birth (well, fx). Good luck with your DC3. Let me know how close our actual births are!
