Ok, was just told that when I get induced, if the gel/ pessary hasn't worked by 9 in the evening, ill be sent home, I always thought that, once you are started off, you have to stay in until baby is born! Anyone actually know if this true?

I had the gel and then went walk about until contractions started. Not admitted until into full labour. I'd expect home as good a place as any to wait and at least it doesn't block a hospital bed.

I was wondering similar as I'm to be induced with DC2, and told if gel doesn't work I'll be sent home. With DC1 I was told I was not allowed to leave the hospital grounds. So something has changed in the past 2 years.

I thought they had to monitor you through out the whole process, now I'm stressing that I'll be sent home, which is a good 30 min drive at quiet times, and something will bad will happen Hmm
