I should know as this is my second one, but.....

  1. possible tmi. Today is 13 days after the elective CS. Bleeding had stopped by about day 7. I now seem to have EWCM. Really? Is that normal? Or is it something else? I expressed for a week, but am FF.
  1. I'm in no real pain. The odd twinge but no painkillers for about a week. But I'm finding pooing hard. Like I'm too weak to push it out. Not sore and constipated. I'm taking movicol to keep things moving. Is this odd? I also feel a bit like I don't empty my bladder fully. Normally I would wee then sort of bear down to make sure I've emptied fully. I just can't bear down like that (same as when pooing). I am weeing normal amounts at normal intervals. I'm seeing the midwife for a baby check on Friday, this can wait till then, can't it?

As long as you have no actual pains or raging fever I would have thought Friday OK.

Can you ring the midwifery office & just ask them to get her to call you for a quick phone check up? Then if she thinks it's needing an appt she can get you in to see the GP earlier?

Or practice nurse?

My GP does non-urgent phone consults before each surgery & gets you in if it sounds urgent.

It's early days and everythings had a massive shock so it takes time, I'd wait until 4 weeks post cs before worrying... unless in pain. Mention it to MW/HV if you are concerned. x

I'm 3 weeks post section and still having slow bowels although not constipated and finding it painful to go and also the feeling of not fully emptying bladder. It has been gradually getting better and I did have a uti the day after the catheter came out so it may be worth checking with dr.

Thanks all. Spoke to MW last night who reassured me. No change today but just went for a wee and in loads of pain as soon as I sat down and tried to let go. Sort of low in my pelvis and back passage area. Took a deep breath and a couple of false starts to go. Going to get an emergency appointment at gp tonight.
