My second baby is due a week today, my husband is stuck 12 hrs away at work (at sea) and can't get here till the day after due date, any advice on how to make sure this baby doesn't come early?

Hang upside down like a bat?

Seriously, the baby will arrive when it feels like it. If this is your first baby then you are more likely to go overdue than with subsequent pregnancies but there's nothing you can do to ensure that you do.

Certain things are supposed to bring on labour so you can avoid those:

  • pineapple
  • curry
  • evening primrose oil
  • sex (not going to happen for you anyway in this case :) )
  • long walks
  • bouncing
  • clary sage oil
  • castor oil

I tried all if the above (except castor oil) and DD was still 2 weeks late!
