DS is 6 weeks today.

Lochia settled at 10 days and I've been fine. I had clogged breast yesterday and have been poorly. I'm only breasrfeeding.

This morning I noticed bright red bleeding. It's not period already is it?

Possibly infection?

I had a sudden bout of bright red bleeding at around 5 weeks, I had swabs taken and it was an infection in the cervix [I think-it was a long time ago!]

The GP said that the bleeding is your body trying to flush the infection out.

Is it heavy?

Could be period, mines came back around the six week mark.

Did you have an episiotomy? I had fresh blessing that was that tearing about this time. I panicked, but was fine in the end.

I bled randomly at about 6/7 weeks for about two days, google results said it was pretty normal. Stopped and didn't get anything else til DD was 1 and I'd stopped BF for 3 months

I had straight forward normal delivery . Last time with 2 other DCs periods came back at 10 months

Should I go to doctor? The breast which was painful is getting better but I'm a bit weak

Sorry errors I'm feeding now

It's light, but enough to stain

Can you call anyone at the hospital to check? I had a number I could call, and I remember now it was bang on 6 weeks as that was their cut off for when they'd speak up me. Fwiw they were totally nonplussed, but did say to go to a and e if I was concerned. But they were trying to get rid of me. Sorry cant be more use.

I called my MW when it happened, she said keep an eye butane it sounded more like a period but as it was gone within 48hours we left it.

I didn't have sore breasts with it though - if you're worried see your doctor

As others said, it could be your period. Mine came back at 6 weeks with both DCs. Bottlefed first, second BF - neither made difference to period return.
