Four weeks after cesaerian Reassurance needed

I'm four weeks in and had been doing well after an initial infection.

Now my stomach has swollen up massively again, I'm sore and I'm feeling like I have flu.

Anyone suffered anything similar and can reassure? Many thanks.

Oh dear. Either you have flu or given the swollen stomach, you've an infection again/still.

Have you a temp? What's your bleeding like? I think you need to call somebody tbh.

I've had 2x emcs and by 4 weeks was back to normal both times.

Hi op you need to be seen tonight am afraid :( you may well have another infection that needs antibiotics. Am a midwife.

yes, I think you should call the out of hours GP. Don't leave it to maybe get worse.

While my sections weren't perfect after 4 weeks, they were generally comfortable as long as I took it easy. They didn't swell up.

Am a gp and i agree with above. Sounds like you have an infection please see a dr tonight. The out of hours gp service or as you are only 4wks post could call post natal ward for obstetric review.
Hope you feel better soon

I've rang the Gps and waiting for them to call back,

Thanks for the advice all.

I agree, it is urgent that you are seen tonight. If you can't get an out of hours gp appointment for any reason then go to A and E. Post natal infections can be serious and I don't like the sound of your abdomen swelling up massively. Get well soon. Thanks
