Mucous Plug: like clear stringy snot?

I think I just lost mine. For those that have noticably lost one, what happened next? (no spontaneous labour for me, was induced last time)

I'm 37+5 but have had masses of contractions on-off, and was at 2cm on Monday...

I was induced at 40+4 with DS1, and REALLY wasn't expecting DS2 before Christmas. Good job I've got the shopping done! :)

Mine came away in dribs and drabs [getting bigger in volume each time] over 1-2 days.

Mine were sort of clear/pinky/browny in colour.

Quickest was 1 day after first show to start of labour.

MIne was exactly as you describe like clear stringy snot (about 7pm one night). Over the next 2 hours there was more and it was pinky streaked (my midwife called it a 'bloody show' but other folk since have suggested this is not the right term, meh!).

From there increasingly pinky shows, funny feelings and diahorroea punctuated my attempts to sleep and I woke at about 3 in the morning when my waters broke.

Sounds like action stations for you!

I remember mine being opaque but it probably varies for everyone.

I lost about a 20p sized bit of 'bad head cold' coloured mucus in the shower. That evening I got a huge spread on my toilet paper after going to the loo; the mucus was all of white opaque, bad head cold coloured, clear and a bit blood streaky.

I gave birth the following evening (starting early morning).

In my case nothing happened next. Waited for 2 days, then was induced for 3 days, failed, had elcs! you never know! It ain't far though and congrats!!!

I feel twitchy, cross, like I need to go to the loo every five minutes and want to be sick. The twitchy and sick parts are new to this evening, though the cross-and-wanting-the-loo thing has been the last four or five weeks - let's see what happens, then!

I wanted to go and see Skyfall tomorrow - was my first 'mat leave adventure' planned. Would be typical if I go into labour before that happens!

Mine was clear but will streaks of pink- it's true that Mumsnet makes TMI a thing of the past!!! That was at 4am on a loo visit, then waters broke almost immediately after and DS1 born 4pm same day Hope it all goes well and you get to see Skyfall, look out for those trousers in the opening sequence

I lost mine a full 10 days before I finally went into labour. Was in some sort of 'pre-labour' all that time, with on and off pains but nothing serious. Mine was clear jelly which came away over a couple of days. I only saw the 'bloody show' during established labour. I think generally some blood implies labour is imminent, but if it's just jelly it's a good sign but could still be a while.

Mine was like a massive solid jelly cork that came out with a contraction just before pushing stage. I was fairly surprised :)

Aaah, t'is a varied and many-splendoured thing, I think! There's been a LOT of clear stringy jelly, but no blood, and no contractions last night (it's 7am here) so I think it's a James Bond day. Hurrah!

I am extremely cross and jumpy. I kept waking in the night thinking DS1 was calling for me (he was asleep) or that DH was talking to me (he was also asleep). Lucky buggers. I feel SO weird! But am going to tell myself it will be days yet, and just try to calm down and get on with things!
