I addressed my birth addiction by becoming a mw.

I couldn't do it Mayhew. I love birth but I know that the midwife training and real skill is all to do with the difficulties and interventions, not the straighforward 6 hour mums who can just get on with it on their own.

And I know that many potential straightforward 6 hour mums don't get that because many just don't know what they don't know which suits a conveyor-belt system.
