Mucus plug question

Hi, due DC2 in a couple if weeks and wondered if the mucus plug/bloody show always comes away before labour. I know it can be quite a while in advance, but does it ever stay put until full-blown labour?

Hi. Yes, the plug can stay in place until you go into labour. You may not even notice whether you have lost it at all, so it's not always something to wait for as a sign of impending labour.
