I know, I read about nipple tweaking, no thank you!
the best advice I can give is when you are past EDD ask for a sweep of the membranes, midwife will explain. it does hurt a bit/a lot , but better than being induced, especially if you want to avoid an epidural
then have sex as the sperm has something in it that can soften the membranes also and can start labour off.
this combination did work for us 3 times out of 6! ( the other 2 were induced, 1 ELSC)
no shed loads of pineapple as it can give you diahorrea, but do try some foods/drinks that get you good bowel movements, as the pressure from that can stimulate the womb!
so eat things that loosen you up a bit - but whatever you do, if you eat a bag of prunes in the morning and end up having your baby the same evening make sure you packed a can of air-freshen to avoid midwives manically opening the windows an DH on the verge of being sick...
ah, the fun of childbirth!
anyway, if there was one sure way of bringing on labour everyone would do that one thing!
