Birthing notes

Doea anyone know what happens to your birthing notes after you have given birth? I'm pregnant with my second child and would be interested to know about the notes, and possibly go through them with a midwife! My memory of the birth is hazy!

Notes are stored at the local hospital. I've known friends who have applied for their old notes, it took a while, they were able to attend an appointment to view them, they were allowed to make copies [charged]. I made copies of the notes before they were sent to the main hospital, but can't find them anywhere, I am also pg with DC2.

Best point of contact is your midwife and ask where you go from there.
