Lindo wing - how early to book ?

Do you need to book super early to get into the Lindo Wing. I've been advised to have a c-section so thinking, if I'm to be in hospital longer, a private room would be very welcome.
But I've seen people online say 10weeks preg is too late to book!??? Is that right? Anyone got up-to-date experience?

Thanks

Do you want a private room or full private pregnancy/delivery care? You cannot book the private wings unless you are having the full package usually, as the private patients take priority. I think they will move you if they have space after you have delivered on the NHS if you wish, and the fees per night are about £950 for post-cs care.
10 weeks is leaving it late to book the full private package as you have to make sure your chosen consultant can take you that month and many get booked up the minute women learn they are pregnant. HTH
