Losing clots 12 days after birth help!

Had my baby 12 days ago bleeding has been stop start since about day 5 stopping and starting again. I thought it had finally stopped today but went the loo and a big red clot came out with a gush of blood totally shook me up.
Im losing bright red blood again quite heavily I called the midwife she asked if I had walked a lot today which I have and she said its that and not to worry just lie down.
Im so scared I feel like more stuff needs to come out when I walk I can feel the blood coming out its awful. Im lying down now but its stinging down below my placenta was ragged when it came out and this happened after my second son a huge piece of placenta came out 2 weeks after I had him but I wasnt losing bright red blood.

Can anyone reassure me this will stop soon or its happened to them the midwife does not seem concerned at all.

I think you should get checked out asap. Can you call the postnatal ward?

I was told not to be concerned unless it was bigger than an orange

No it was about the size of a fifty pence piece when I lost the clot after my second son it was the size of my hand. Just not liking losing this bright red blood again and feeling like something needs to fall out of me
