nursing nightwear??? Where???

Well, I have left it far too late to start getting this hospital bag ready. I have got this pelvic discomfort thing going on and am trying to get the essentials sorted via the internet. Where oh where can I track down some size eighteen nursing pyjamas for taking into hospital? I have searched and cannot find anything worth having? The better a bargain the better......thanks.

I have used mum knows best site, it's brilliant, very quick my feeding tops came within 3 days.

I used ordinary Pjs with nursing vests from H&M / Blooming Marvellous

Mothercare for nighties with snap fastening fronts. Really comfy and great for just popping open.

Otherwise, "hidden support" vests are good, Mamas and Papas had some, and for the 1st few weeks, I needed the extra support as when the milk came in my breasts were quite heavy and tender.

However, second time around I just wore oversized scoop necked t-shirts or vests and just yanked them down!

Honestly, save your money and get some normal ones. I still feed ds ALL night long and just pull down a vest at the top. Any nursing ones involve trying to wrestle your nipple through a randomly placed hole. I also had a great case of night sweats for at least a month after the birth and would have swealtered in pjs.

I bought primark pjs. With buttons at the front.

Now I've been breastfeeding for a bit longer I'd suggest wearing a baggy tshirt with a vest top underneath for in hospital. Much more discreet for feeding.

Nobody does 'nursing nightwear' in my size so I just wore a daytime nursing bra at night with a vest top over the top - It was that or leak everywhere as I had ridiculous oversupply issues.

John Lewis has several pyjamas/nighties/soft cotton pyjama tops with buttons which are good value - JL own label.

Ordinary large front-buttoning PJs. Undo a couple top buttons.

Though the hospital was so hot I never put any clothes back on after birth until 36 hours later (first) or 12 hours later (2nd), until I finally noticed I wasn't wearing any.

Vvvv hot in hospital- you might prefer a nightie instead of pjs. I hate the mother care nursing nighties I bought for dc1- random holes for shoving nipple through, v scratchy material. As other posters said had most joy with a vest style nightie I could just slip down off the shoulder

I got a couple of oversized button through nighties from Primark (sorry, not online though) for hospital (one with PJ bottoms in case by some miracle it's not 30 degrees in there) but was just intending to yank tops up/down when I get home.

I a couple of maternity nighties off ebay. I think they are mothercare ones and have poppers down the front. They're so comfy I'm still wearing them four years later.

I got some cheap button through nighties from Matalan for hospital. I also had some tartan nursing pyjamas from Jojo but they were way too hot, so hardly wore them. Nighties more practical if you have a c section as you will have a catheter. DS is now 8 months and I mostly wear a strappy vest with pants or pj bottoms and just take the strap down over my arm and pop boob over the top. I also have a couple of strappy nighties in t shirt material from M&S.

Don't buy anything with satin bottoms - you'll keep sliding down the bed :o

Ooo, I got a wonderful dressing gown. From m&s. Only place I could find a 100% cotton one. It's lovely.

My SIL got me a lovely plaid button down night shirt (for when i was home) In hospital I wore size 16 jamas, with vest top - I wore an emmajane maternity bra (here on Amazon) with lansinoh breast pads underneath.

Actually - in hospital - I would draw my curtain and whip my bra and top off to get skin skin and practice breastfeeding with access from all angles!

It's vvvv hot in hospital, and post birth night sweats one of the glamorous side effects you might face.

Pyjama bottoms in a size too big, and lots of vest tops would do you well. To be honest, my experience was that in the early days of latching on any attempts of dignity tend to go out of the window in preference to feeding a baby. I found a big, stretchy, bra (I used bravado ones) v helpful.

I speak as someone who'd never had a smear as I didn't want people poking up there, and don't ever wear short sleeves because I have nasty arms. I packed lots of long sleeved, button down things, and sent DH to Sainsburys to buy sleeveless stuff!

Normal Primark button front PJs in a bigger size for me. With nursing bra underneath when my milk came in.
