Should I have another sweep tomorrow - bled a lot last time...

Am 41 weeks with dc4. Had a sweep at 40 weeks (was 1cm dilated, soft and favourable) but bled more than is normal afterwards and had to go into the hospital to be monitored.

I did have a bleed at 29 weeks in this and the last pg, the reason was never discovered. The doctor who looked after me after the sweep said she thinks I may have an ectropion on my cervix which causes these bleeds which is not serious (just annoying).

I've also been in that awful latent stop/start labour since thursday which is really uncomfortable and getting me down a bit as I dont think it's getting me anywhere :(

I am booked in for an induction on Tuesday which I would really like to avoid if possible

So my question is should I have another sweep tomorrow (if midwife agrees) even though I am likely to bleed again. Should I have this last attempt before the induction process is started on Tuesday?

I'd be tempted to say no RnB
Tuesday isn't very far away and I would try and get as much rest as you can until then and save your energy for when it counts.

Good luck with whatever you decide x

Thanks Gizzy, I've got a feeling the midwife would refuse anyway... am getting so fed up!
