Advice on London Hospitals?

Dear All,

I'm pregnant with my first child and booked in to St Mary's Hospital (living in W9). Having just now joined MumsNet and read through recent threads from others, there don't seem to be many, actually any, positive comments about St Mary's. Should I rebook to a different hospital if not too late? If so, which one? Any recent positive experiences at St Mary's?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

No exp of St Marys but I had DD at West Mddx. October was very busy time of year and getting a space in delivery was tough but the mw's were great.
The natural birth centre there looks amazing. I say 'looks' because although that was my plan. DD had other ideas and had to come out of the sun-roof!!
Good luck with whatever you decide...

Forgot to mention SIL had her first at Queen Charlottes (next to Hammersmith Hosp). It was 8 years ago bit she said they were great at the time. Not sure about giving birth overlooking Wormwood Scrubs though!!!
