Hi ladies, just wondering sorry if this is tmi....had a sweep wed afternoon at 37+5 and am booked in for an induction wed, had a bit of bleeding after the sweep which she said to expect and consultant said I was 2cm dilated....that night had what I thought was a show but no contractions as such, since then I feel like I've had a show every day? Never had a show before as have always been induced and I thought u only had one? But I seem to be loosing something every day .... Especially if I strain to go to the toilet - sorry! Is this normal? I'm panicking why I'm loosing stuff each day and worrying it might be an infection or something rather than a show?
Any advice gratefully received.....x

hello - the mucus plug can come out a bit each day over a couple of days. After my sweep at 41 weeks (i had 3 sweeps) I had a bit coming out for a couple of days. Still had to be induced (which was ok, no troubles). If you had an infection it may smell a bit, be an odd colour. I would say don't worry, but if you are, call the mw and put your mind at rest. Good luck for wednesday - very exciting:)

If you are worried, call the MW, it's what she's there for!

My show started about 3 weeks before I gave birth, and I had a little almost every day.
