Guess he won't be able to visit me in hospital and I will be stressed out by risk to newborn.
Or will baby have immunity as I am a carrier?

The baby should have some immunity if you've previously had coldsores yourself. I have no idea what hospital policy would be re: visiting though, might be worth a call to your midwife to check?
