Waters went first thing, no contractions...

Am 39wks+ and waters went when I woke up this morning. Been to the day assessment unit who confirmed waters gone and I'm now home with an induction booked for the morning if nothing happens.

Feel odd as although my waters went first with DS, everything kicked off immediately.

Am currently in bed getting some rest but should I be walking around, up and down the stairs etc? Will that really make a difference or will baby come whenever they want regardless of what I do?!!!

No twinges at all? I think you're right to rest, but I know I'd be pacing around and bouncing on my birth ball to try and avoid induction!

Am getting fairly strong ctx every 20 mins or so now so I think we're on our way!! :)

Theyre getting closer - last couple were 10mins or so apart. Cant talk through them now and having to really breathe!

Good luck fancynancypants! I bet everything will happen quite quickly now. You'll have your baby by the time the sun rises Smile
