what time did your labours start?

Both my labours started at about 2am - am expecting my 3rd any day and for some reason am getting really worried about going in to labour in the day.

I can't really explain why but just wondered if your labours started at similar times or not.

(I know this isn't scientific at all!)

Hi, with my first I was induced, and with my second I went into labour in the morning and had him at tea time.
I'm scared this time of going into labour in the night and having to rush around in the middle of the night!

But tbh, now I am 5 days overdue, I dont realy care that much what time is starts!

fuckbadger · 14/09/2012 17:26

Both of mine were night time, dc1 ctx started at 11pm and he was born early the next morning, dc2 ctx started at about 7pm and she was born just before 10pm. Good luck both of you Grin

blondiep14 · 14/09/2012 18:06

Thanks both!

I don't know why I'm fretting really. Perhaps it's taking my mind off wondering what day?!

Ds1 8am-woke up with mild contractions
Ds2 6pm-as I was eating dinner they started

Ds3- we'll have to wait and see!

Bunbaker · 14/09/2012 18:10

2pm on the dot. My waters burst with a gush and DD made an appearance exactly 6 hours later.

katiegolightly · 14/09/2012 18:12

2am, 9 days early with a ping and gushing waters! Born at 7am by CS (breech)

Good luck OP!

saskia87 · 15/09/2012 16:26

DS1 - 7pm on a Monday, born 00.43am on the Wednesday (although established labour was only a couple of hours in the end!)

DS2 - 1.30am, born 10.11am

DD1 - 10pm, born 2.44am

DD2 - regular contractions from 9am-ish - though was contracting on and off through the night, was 4cm at midday, born 1.01pm (established labour 1hr 1min!)

javotte · 15/09/2012 16:42

Both started at around 11pm, which means I was knackered from the sleepless night.
For DC3 I really hope I can have my 9 hours of sleep before labour starts!

NellyBluth · 15/09/2012 21:19

8 in the morning. Which surprised me as I thought most women started in the middle of the night! No baby for 41 hours though... Sad

blondiep14 · 16/09/2012 09:11

That's what I'm hoping Nelly.
Would also make things easier if DS1 and DS2 were asleep and someone just comes to sit with them rather than have them party to all the kerfuffle!

Have been having cramps on amd off all week and today they haven't eased up as much as usual. Was half expecting it to kick off last night but nothing...maybe tonight?!

My waters broke at midnight, had only been in bed half an hour so was really knackered! Contractions started at 3am, DD was born at 10pm.

freerangechickens · 16/09/2012 16:15

DS: Started at about 5:05 am, he was out at 8:15 am

DD: Started at 1:50 am, she was out by 3:18 am

Both of them were pretty rude with their timing, but I'll take it since they came out so quickly.

blondiep14 · 16/09/2012 17:18

Wow - they were quick chickens!

Ds started in the mid morning, took 3 days. Dd started in the early hours of the morning and was born in the evening same day.
Interestingly they both arrived at 5.45 on the dot on a Saturday, ds at 5.45am, dd at 5.45pm!
I think Saturday is my baby day!

Wigeon · 16/09/2012 19:10

4am and 7am.

Good luck!

Totobear · 16/09/2012 19:14

4am and didn't I know it!

JennerOSity · 16/09/2012 19:17

4am here.

I wasn't surprised as I had kept waking for 'no' reason at that time throughout pregnancy so maybe there is some hormonal rhythm thing going on.

Pregnant again now, and again keep waking at 4am so I should really go to bookies and put some money on it being a 4am kick off again - could pay for a weeks worth of nappies if I won! Grin

seabuckthorn · 17/09/2012 10:55

DS2 About 4/5am- have birth at 4pm.
DS1- Early afternoon but didn't actually give birth for 2 days! Luckily he is a joyful toddler now!
Every BH I get in this pregnancy puts me slightly on edge tbh!
