Scar tissue on cervix

Hi - has anyone had a natural birth after loop diathermy. I had surgery many years ago and am concerned that the cervix may split or other damage may occur during birth. Both midwife and doctor seem unconcerned other than to say that this could cause problems when dilating - I've read that manual dilation may be an option - but wondering whether an elective section may be preferable. Nearly shot through the ceiling when a coil was inserted some years ago! - anyone had any experience of this.

I had one about a year before I gave birth and had absolutely no problems during pregnancy or birth, if my experience is anything to go by I wouldn't worry.

thats great - thanks for your responses, its my first pregnancy so have no idea what to expect. I was hoping it wouldn't make too much difference but you can't help worry sometimes! I feel a lot better about it all now - fingers crossed everything will go smoothly (you gotta hope!)
