hi, i am wondering if there is a good private obstetrician that is not over c section happy at preferably queen charlotte's or st mary's paddington? i had my ds and dd at st john and st elizabeth with yehudi gordon but now he is retired and lizzies isn't doing births so i am trying to work out who i could go to next time. i had to have obstetric led care as had prev. surgery that puts me in too high risk for midwife led. is dr kumar good if you're not having a c section? i have heard loads of good things about him but not from people who haven't had a c section

Hiya. I have just started seeing Mr McCarthy at QC. I do not know what he is like re CS, as I have only seen him myself a couple of times so far but he is a really lovely man and has inspired me with confidence after a horrible experience last time. So would recommend him on this basis. You could always maybe call up and ask him? I am not sure that anyone can ultimately push you into CS though, if you do not want to and it is not absolutely necessary but maybe am wrong, as no experience with CS myself!

thank you januarymommy that is a good recommendation and a good idea to give him a ring. i bumped into my retired obstetrician today from ds and dd and he said the same as you, no one can force you to have a c section! true true

I'm at St Mary's (Lindo) with Mr Miskry and he seems totally fine with my wishes for a natural birth. My friend had Guy Thorpe Beeston (he and Mr Miskry cover for each other) and had a vaginal delivery as well. They both have very good reputations and are really kind.

Good luck!
